A Look At The Beanpot Final
Northeastern has remained a nationally ranked program this season, and they're only getting better. Rookie netminder Lisa Jonsson has been spectacular in net claiming the starting role, while a mix of youth and veteran presence are carrying the team through offensively. Skylar Irving remains the team's leading scorer helping her PWHL Draft hopes, but rookie Eloise Caron has been a revelation for the team following years of losing top players to the pros. The future is bright for this program, but the future is also now as we see them improving week-by-week. Scoring has been Boston University's challenge this season, but they're still sitting atop the Hockey East standings, and that says a lot for their team play. It's why they currently sit one spot ahead of Northeastern in the national rankings. Megan Healey is their top goal scorer, followed by the towering Lola Reid. Defender Julia Shaunessy has played distributor this year and it is all paying off. At the back end, Callie Shanahan is having her best season in the NCAA and the timing couldn't be better for the Terriers. Who will win? It's a toss up in this game. In their two-game series this season Boston University and Northeastern split, eaching winning a game by an identical 4-0 margin.
Boston College and Harvard will play earlier on the 21st for third place.
