The Stanley Cup is one of the most marketable assets the NHL has, so it only makes sense for the trophy to get a world tour this summer.

For the first time ever, the St. Louis Blues are the holders of the Cup, and will be taking it to five different countries. It will be taken to eight Canadian provinces, and seven U.S. states as well.

The Cup has been dropped, broken, thrown into pools, taken to clubs and subject to all types of debauchery throughout the past few decades. Like any rock star, can the Cup survive life on the road? We certainly hope so.

St. Louis begins its title defence against the Washington Capitals on Oct. 2, where the Cup ought to be in one piece.
