St. Louis Blues sign Quinton Burns to entry level contract

Quinton Burns joins a list of 2023 draft picks to sign his entry-level contract.

The defenseman and the Blues came to terms on a three-year deal on Friday.

Burns posted his signing on his Instagram account.

The 19-year-old was drafted by the Blues in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft and joins Dalibor Dvorsky, Otto Stenberg, Theo Lindstein, Juraj Pekarcik and Jakub Stancl as draft picks that have inked entry-level deals.

Burns (6-foot-1, 185 pounds), who just competed with Canada at the World Junior Prospect Showcase in Plymouth, Mich. in late July, spent the past three seasons with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League.

In 2023-24, Burns played in 58 regular-season games and had 35 points (six goals, 29 assists). His 120 penalty minutes led the Frontenacs and shared sixth in the OHL

Burns has played in 154 regular-season games with Kingston with 68 points (eight goals, 60 assists) and 285 penalty minutes; he also played in three games with Canada at the 2023 U-18 World Junior Championship and earned a bronze medal.
