St. Louis Blues Player To Watch vs. New Jersey Devils: Cam Fowler

ST. LOUIS -- It's been a small sample size, but in two games since acquiring defenseman Cam Fowler from the Anaheim Ducks, the St. Louis Blues have most certainly bolstered their blue line.

Fowler doesn't have a point yet, but it's been noticeable that the Blues (15-14-3) have been much cleaner with their breakouts since Fowler, 33, has joined the lineup.

He played a game-high among defenseman in a 3-2 win against the New York Rangers on Sunday (23:50) and being paired with Colton Parayko has been a good move.

"Better poise too, especially any time he gets the puck," Blues coach Jim Montgomery said of Fowler. "There doesn't seem to be any panic to him."

We'll go with Fowler in this spot Tuesday as the Blues player to watch, because not only will his puck movement and poise be key against a strong group of Devils forwards, but the more he plays, the more he will get comfortable in his system and this is a spot where we can see him picking up his first point as a Blue.

Fowler has 13 points (12 assists) in 19 games against New Jersey and is a plus-8. We like him in this spot.
