St. Louis Blues Player To Watch vs. Washington Capitals: Colton Parayko

ST. LOUIS -- Not only is Colton Parayko putting his name on the scoresheet, but the St. Louis Blues top defenseman will be saddled with keeping Alex Ovechkin from climbing the all-time goals scoring record.

Parayko has scored three times in the past three games and has four points. His partnership with Ryan Suter seems to be going rather well.

"I think he's just jumping into holes where they're available for him and getting up i the rush," Blues coach Drew Bannister said of Parayko's offense, "and being available on breakouts and being available in the neutral zone and really just joining and finding holes for himself to create opportunities."

Parayko has nine points (four goals, five assists) in 14 games this season but also has eight points (three goals, five assists) in 14 games against the Capitals, but he will be faced with keeping Ovechkin at 861 goals, or 33 from tying Wayne Gretzky for the all-time record.

Ovechkin has feasted on the Blues in his career with 36 points (19 goals, 17 assists) in 26 games, so Parayko and Suter will be seeing a lot of 'The Great 8.'
