Gear: Srixon ZXi, ZXi LS, ZXi Max drivers Price: $549.99 with Fujikura Ventus Blue TR, Project X Denali Red or HZRDUS Smoke Black shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grip Specs: Ti72S titanium face with titanium crown, moveable sole weights and adjustable hosel Available: Jan. 24

Who they're for: Golfers seeking a combination of distance and stability with shot-shaping capabilities (ZXi), those looking for more ball speed with a lower launch and spin rate (ZXi LS) and players needing maximum forgiveness and stability (ZXi Max).

What you should know: A new variable-thickness face design, combined with a head engineered to broaden the sweet spot, helps generate more ball speed and distance. The three available models allow players to find a ZXi driver suited to their swing and playing style.

The deep dive: Elite players such as Hideki Matsuyama, Shane Lowry, Brooks Koepka and 2025 Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley all have unique driver needs to maximize distance and performance. Recreational golfers are no different. Some need extra help on mis-hits, while others aim to reduce spin.

With the ZXi driver family, Srixon offers a three-club system designed to cater to a wide range of golfers.

As with the previous ZX family, the ZXi drivers feature Srixon’s Rebound Frame technology, which integrates a four-zone system of rigid and flexible areas in the clubhead. This innovation improves energy transfer from the club to the ball, increasing ball speed.

New to the ZXi lineup is Srixon’s i-Flex titanium face. This variable-thickness design has a thinner center supported by thicker regions near the heel and toe. The result is a more forgiving hitting area that works seamlessly with Rebound Frame to deliver over 4 yards of additional distance in testing.

To reduce weight in the crown, Srixon employed a design called Star Frame. It features three support beams connecting the front, sides and back of the head, allowing the crown areas between the beams to be made especially thin and lightweight while maintaining structural integrity.

The ZXi, ZXi LS and ZXi Max drivers also come with an updated adjustable hosel, enabling loft adjustments of as many as 1.5 degrees higher or lower for optimal customization.

Model breakdown:

  • ZXi (9, 10.5 degees): This model replaces the ZX5 Mk II driver and features two adjustable weights – 10 grams and 4 grams – placed in ports at the rear-heel and rear-toe areas. This configuration allows for a draw or fade bias while keeping the moment of inertia high for stability.

  • ZXi LS (8, 9, 10.5 degees): A low-spin alternative to the ZXi, this model places the 10-gram and 4-gram weights in front and rear ports. Positioning the heavier weight in the front creates lower launch and spin with increased ball speed. Moving the heavier weight to the back raises the launch angle and spin rate while boosting the moment of inertia for added forgiveness.

  • ZXi Max (9, 10, 12 degees): Designed for maximum forgiveness, the ZXi Max features a single weight port in the back-center of the sole. It comes standard with a 14-gram weight, offering the highest moment of inertia and launch angle in the ZXi family.
