Spurs sign West Ham United keeper Talbert on loan
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of West Ham United goalkeeper Katelin Talbert on a short-term loan deal.
WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from the North Londoners this evening.
It has been reported that Talbert will initially spend the first half of the season with Spurs.
The 25-year-old American stopper joined parent club West Ham United last summer from Portuguese side SL Benfica. The player was immediately loaned out to Swedish club Djurgårdens IF to enable her to gain the necessary points to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Talbert made 14 appearances for Djurgårdens IF in the OBOS Damallsvenskan in 2023 and 2024.
Talbert recently returned from her loan spell but the player will continue to play her football away from parent club West Ham United after joining their London rivals Spurs on loan.
During her time with Spurs, the keeper will compete with Becky Spencer for the number one jersey. She fills the void left by Barbora Votíková’s recent departure. Votíková re-joined Czech club SK Slavia Prague for a second spell after spending just one season in England with Spurs.
Talbert is Spurs boss Robert Vilahamn’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window.
