Duo closing in on a return to action in boost for injury stricken Spurs
Spurs attacking duo Richarlison and Mikey Moore are closing in on a return to action, boss Ange Postecoglou says.
Both have been out since November, with Moore missing game time through illness while Richarlison has been out with a hamstring injury.
Postecoglou has also been without a number of other key players in recent weeks including defenders Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven, as well as goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Another central defender in Radu Dragusin also suffered an ankle injury in the defeat to Nottingham Forest, making him a doubt for the game with Wolves.
But Postecoglou is hoping his squad’s injury woes will be eased in the attacking areas soon.
“He’s still on track,” Postecoglou said when asked about Moore. “Him and Richy (Richarlison) are kind of in the final phases so we’re hoping that next week they can start training.
“We’ve got a bit of a gap before the Newcastle game so the plan is for Mikey and Richy to come back into first-team training next week.”
Spurs host Wolves in their next clash hoping to end a run of back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
