Tottenham Hotspur head coach Robert Vilahamn has signed a new long-term contract with the club until summer 2027.

The Lilywhites confirmed the news via a post on their official club website this morning.

Vilahamn was appointed Spurs’ new head coach last summer after leaving former club BK Häcken. He was tasked with improving the team’s fortunes after a difficult campaign in 2023/2024.

The 41-year-old has been a breath of fresh air since his arrival in England. Vilahamn initially brought a thrilling ultra-attacking style of football to Spurs in the first half of last season before developing the team’s defensive qualities in the second half of the campaign and building a more complete side.

Spurs ended the 2023/2024 campaign in sixth position in the Barclays Women’s Super League table. The Lilywhites were also Adobe Women’s FA Cup finalists for the very first time in their history. The club are targeting long-term success and Vilahamn has shown all of the qualities needed to lead his team to glory in future years.

Spurs will kick-off the 2024/2025 Barclays Women’s Super League season with a home fixture against Crystal Palace on the weekend of 21/22 September 2024. It promises to be another exciting campaign in North London with Vilahamn at the forefront of the project.
