The 2024 Paris Olympic Games are here.
For 19 days of competition, from July 26 through Aug. 11, athletes from all over the globe – representing more than 200 different national Olympic committees – will convene in Paris to participate in the 33rd Olympiad. Preparations in the capital of France have been years in the making, from the cleaning of the Seine to the Olympic rings adorning the Eiffel Tower.

How many sports are in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games?
There are 45 competitions held (with 32 different sports represented), one of which is making its debut at the Olympics: breaking, or breakdancing. Approximately 10,500 athletes will be competing across the 329 events.
