According to Loïc Tanzi of L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain are one of several clubs eyeing Viktor Gyökeres as a possible signing for summer 2025, with PSG’s sporting advisor, Luís Campos, reportedly already reaching out to the forward’s representatives.

However, Le Parisien notes that Gyökeres may not be a top priority for PSG anymore. Manager Luis Enrique is said to have reservations about the high transfer fee, which is estimated between €75 million and €100 million. Within PSG, there’s growing concern about the risk of such a large investment.

Meanwhile, Gyökeres has also caught Barcelona’s attention. A Bola reports that Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has started talks with Sporting Lisbon to explore a potential transfer for the Swedish forward.

As rumors continue to swirl about the Swedish standout’s future, Frederico Varandas, president of Sporting Lisbon, weighed in on the possibility of a sale in 2025, given the likely interest from numerous suitors for Gyökeres.

“I can’t promise anything [regarding his continuity],” Varandas said (h/t Diario AS). “If a club comes and pays the release clause, if he wants to leave… he will leave. But I don’t think it will happen in January.”

This season, Gyökeres has scored 23 goals while recording four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.
