Sporting KC scores twice via headers, beats Chicago Fire in Leagues Cup showdown
Sporting Kansas City beat Major League Soccer foe Chicago Fire FC 2-1 in a Leagues Cup soccer match on Sunday night at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
Chicago’s Georgios Koutsias put the Fire on the board first with a goal in the 22nd minute. Sporting KC defender Robert Castellanos scored the home side’s opening goal via a point-blank header in the 39th minute.

In the second half, Willy Agada put Sporting ahead for good with a header of his own. Teammate Stephen Afrifa provided a perfect assist.
