Sport Bild Report: Ulreich to receive one-year-extension
With Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich both working on one-year-contracts, German record champions FC Bayern München face decisions on how to deal with the goalkeeping portion of their roster this coming offseason. Despite the fact that legendary net-minder Manuel Neuer appears well past his prime, it looks to be the case that Bayern will give the 38-year-old one more year.
In a report published today, Germany's "Sport Bild" tabloid claims that FCB management will extend the same cowry to Sven Ulreich. The 36-year-old is to be rewarded for his many years of service with a one-year-deal that shall see him draw a €2 million annual salary as the #3 keeper. Daniel Peretz - assuming he is not loaned out next summer - will work as Neuer's back-up.
One-time presumed Neuer heir Alexander Nübel still has another year to serve in Stuttgart under his current loan deal. Due to mixed performances in Swabia this season, the German giants have decided not to exercise their early recall option. There's some talk of Bayern loaning out Peretz and bringing in Köln's Jonas Urbig for an audition during the 2025/26 campaign.
