Spooner and Carter Join Sceptres’ Practice

Both of the Toronto Sceptres’ players on IR, forward Natalie Spooner and defender Megan Carter, were on the ice today with the main group at practice.

According to the team, “There is still no timeline for either return,” but the rehab appears to be progressing for both.

The team said this “is part of the plan within their return to play protocol.”

Coach Troy Ryan had mentioned previously that Carter may be closer to a return to game action. Her injury is unknown but is described as “lower body.”

Spooner suffered an ACL injury in May during the opening round of the Walter Cup playoffs last season. She was the league’s leading scorer and Most Valuable Player.

Their return would surely be welcome with a team that is currently in last place. The Sceptres won their last game against the Ottawa Charge, and play the Boston Fleet on Wednesday, January 22.
