Spokane Chiefs Win Nine Straight, Make First Appearance In CHL Top Ten
With week 11 upon us, that means it's time for a revamped CHL Top 10. Three WHL clubs were named to the list, and all of them incredibly deservedly so.
Everett Silvertips (4 --> 2)
The WHL's best team keeps on rolling, as they are perched at the tip of the league with 51 points, and a nine point lead over second place. Despite being held off the scoresheet in his last contest, forward Tyler MacKenzie has put up points in seven of his last nine games, five of them being multiple point nights. Additionally, exceptional status defenseman Landon DuPont is (still) second place among rookie scoring. Reminder, he is 15 years old.
Of the 60 possible points that were available to them, the 24-3-2-1 @WHLsilvertips are only missing nine...

Tri-City Americans (9 --> 10)
Although riding a three-game losing skid at the moment, Tri-City is still dangerous. Rookie of the Month winner Gavin Garland leads all rookies in scoring, as well as nine players at or above the 20 point mark. Sitting three points back of Spokane for second place in the Eastern Conference while also having multiple games in hand, the Americans could shoot back up very soon.

Spokane Chiefs (NR --> 9)
After sneaking into a playoff spot as the final seed in 2023-24, Spokane are challenging Everett for top spot in the WHL. Winners of nine straight contests, the Chiefs even knocked off the Silvertips in their second victory of the streak. Captain Berkly Catton has made his case near the top of the WHL, amassing 47 points in 28 games this season. The Seattle Kraken prospect has something to prove, as does the team around him.
