One is in the middle of the park, where Nicolò Rovella is favourite over Manuel Locatelli.

The latter joined the team on Monday evening to replace the injured Samuele Ricci.

The other uncertain starter is in the attacking midfield role, but in this case, Inter’s Davide Frattesi is favourite over Giacomo Raspadori and Daniel Maldini.

Spalletti is expected to use a 3-5-1-1 formation, with Serie A leading scorer Mateo Retegui getting the nod in attack and Moise Kean starting on the bench.

Nicolò Barella will make his first international appearance since last summer’s Euros, joining Sandro Tonali in the middle of the park.

Andrea Cambiaso and Federico Dimarco will be the wingbacks, while Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Alessandro Buongiorno, and Alessandro Bastoni will form a three-man backline in front of Gigio Donnarumma.

Spalletti will address the media at a pre-match press conference from Belgium later today.
