Spain have made their way to the final of Euro 2024, and in no small part due to Dani Olmo. Despite only starting two of their games, he leads the competition for goals and assists, recording five, and his performances have been highly impressive.

The 26-year-old attacking playmaker has been lethal in front of goal for La Roja, and before the tournament it looked likely someone would make a move for the RB Leipzig forward. He has a €60m release clause, and while Barcelona have expressed interest in him in recent years, their financial issues combined with the fact that they are prioritising a move for Spain teammate Nico Williams makes a move unlikely. That release clause expires on the 15th of July though, next week.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are interested in Olmo, but neither are close to making a move for him or activating the release clause. However they do say that Leipzig are likely to accept an offer around the same price as his release clause even after the deadline.

Recent reports say Bayern are interested in Olmo, but similarly to Barcelona, they will first try to sign his Leipzig teammate Xavi Simons this summer, once Euro 2024 is over. Certainly Olmo can do little more to prove his quality this tournament.
