Spain captain Álvaro Morata set for imminent Serie A return
Spain and Atlético Madrid star Álvaro Morata is set to seal an imminent return to Serie A.
That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who has confirmed that the frontman is on the verge of a move to AC Milan.
It has of course proven something of a whirlwind 24 hours for Morata, since Sunday night.
As much comes with the 31-year-old fresh off captaining Spain to glory in the European Championships, at the expense of Gareth Southgate’s England.
It has not taken at all long for focus to shift back towards matters on the club front, however, with a player who has spent the bulk of his career chopping and changing teams in line to do so once more.
As per the aforementioned Fabrizio Romano:
‘Álvaro Morata to AC Milan, here we go soon!’
Milan intend to activate the €13 million release clause in Morata’s contract, with the Spaniard himself already understood to have agreed on the terms of a four-year contract at San Siro.
