South Mississippi football schedule: The playoffs begin for upper classes on the Coast

The high school football playoffs are in full swing on the Mississippi Coast.

The upper classifications join the lower classes in postseason action this week. South Mississippi is home to 15 teams playing extra football and hoping to survive another week.

All games will be played on Friday, headlined by a heavyweight 4A battle between Poplarville and Columbia and a rivalry renewed between Picayune and Pearl River Central.
