Source: MTSU DT Jimmy Staten working out for Packers, Chiefs this week

Middle Tennessee State defensive tackle Jimmy Staten has private workouts this week with the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a league source.

He has visited the San Diego Chargers, according to a league source.

He has an upcoming private workout for the Chargers and met with the New England Patriots at his school.

The 6-foot-3, 311-pounder was an All-Conference USA honorable-mention selection.

The Georgia native recorded 30 tackles, two hurries and a pass deflection last season.

He bench pressed 225 pounds 30 times at his campus Pro Day workout.
