Free-agent guard Landry Fields underwent surgery for a hip labral tear and will be out five months, a league source told Yahoo Sports. Fields, 27, played an increasingly diminished role with the Toronto Raptors over parts of the past three seasons, despite two productive years upon entering the NBA with the New York Knicks in 2010-11. In five NBA seasons, Fields, who is 6-foot-7, has averaged 6.8 points and 4.3 rebounds.
