Somebody shrunk Capitals star Evgeny Kuznetsov's jersey

You ever show up to play hockey and forget a piece of equipment? You wind up borrowing a spare and it’s way too small?

That’s not normally something NHL players have to deal with — you know, with equipment managers and all. But the closest thing happened to Washington Capitals’ Evgeny Kuznetsov on Friday night.

As Kuzy and the Caps were warming up to take on the New York Islanders, from a distance it appeared that the Washington forward had added some interesting stretching to his pre-game routine. When really, the only thing that was being worked on was his way-too-small sweater.

You shrunk it!

Kuzy looked fine by puck drop. I guess all his sweaters weren’t in the dryer at once.
