While Kawhi Leonard’s future with the Toronto Raptors after helping them claim their NBA first championship in franchise history is unknown, there are a few things we do know.

First of all, we know that he has (unsurprisingly) declined his player option for the upcoming season and officially become a free agent. Secondly, although sources say the two-time Finals MVP is “strongly considering re-signing with the Raptors”, the Los Angeles Clippers and their fans really want the California native to work closer to home.

Free agency is growing nearer and with that, a few interesting billboards have caught the attention of commuters in Los Angeles.

With no branding on them, this may be the work of Clippers fans doing what they can to grab the attention of No. 2 ahead of his big decision. Or, since they’re a bit unoriginal and lack cleverness, this may just be a case of nobody wanting to take credit for them.

Regardless, with Leonard’s history when it comes to gigantic signs in populated areas, it’s a cheeky move.

Following Toronto’s victory to open up the NBA Finals, New Balance — one of Leonard’s sponsors — put up this billboard in Oakland.

At the time, that was a pretty bold move considering the Raptors were taking on the Golden State Warriors, two-time defending champs. However, things ended up working out nicely there.

After Toronto sealed the deal in Game 6 and the city’s streets flooded with thousands of enthused supporters, New Balance came through with this masterpiece at Yonge-Dundas Square.

Will any of this impact what happens down the line? Who knows.

Is it fun to speculate that it may? Definitely.
