SM: Giana Erminio defender undergoing medical ahead of joining Milan Futuro

AC Milan are not just working on additions for the first team because they are also planning to give the Milan Futuro project some early momentum.

On their official website, the club recently announced that they have formally received – following the decisions made by the Federal Council of the FIGC – approval for the registration of a B-team in the next Serie C season.

Daniele Bonera will be the head coach, and while some of the stars of the Primavera side will be promoted up there is also the need to bring in some additional experience given that a very young team will now be playing against adults.

As our journalist Luca Maninetti reported this morning, Gabriele Minotti is currently undergoing a medical with Milan and he will join the U23 team from Giana Erminio.

The centre-back played 41 times across all competitions last season and he used to be part of Monza’s youth system. He had a contract with Giana Erminio until 2025, so there will be a fee involved.

There has already been quite a lot of movement on the signings front concerning Milan Futuro, with 27-year-old striker Mbarick Fall having arrived in the city yesterday to also undergo a medical.
