Yahoo Sports Skaters Brown, 15, & Macdonald, 50, set for Paris
Britain’s youngest Olympic medallist Sky Brown will aim to improve on her bronze from 2020 as part of Team GB's skateboarding squad at the Paris Games.
Brown is joined by 50-year-old Andy Macdonald in the three-strong team, as well as 16-year-old Lola Tambling.
The three secured their spots at last month's Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest but were officially announced by the British Olympic Association on Monday.
Now 15 and a world champion, Brown won bronze aged 13 when the park event debuted at Tokyo 2020.
She is also a double X Games champion and had been aiming to represent Britain in surfing at the 2024 Games, but missed out in qualifying.
Macdonald has been skating professionally since 1994 and will be the first British male skateboarder at an Olympic Games after qualifying last month.
Tambling, 16, won the UK National Skateboarding Championship in 2022 and came sixth in last year's World Championship.
"It was fantastic to witness skateboarding make its debut in Tokyo, and we were thrilled to see Sky make history as the youngest person ever to win a medal for Team GB at the Summer Games," Team GB chef de mission Mark England said.
"It will be thrilling to watch these three in action in Paris and I cannot wait to see them showcase their repertoire of skills this summer."
The skateboarding events will take place from 27 July to 7 August.
