The Israeli and European Union foreign ministers are exchanging angry words over Israel's attacks on the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz is accusing Spain of rewarding terror by recognizing a Palestinian state.

E-U's foreign policy chief Josep Borrell is supporting the International Criminal Court, which is seeking an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others, including the leaders of Hamas.

Palestinian health workers are reporting Israeli airstrikes killed at least 35 people in Rafah yesterday, hitting tents for displaced people and leaving others trapped in flaming debris. (6)

(Papua-New-Guinea-Landslide)

There are wildly differing estimates of how many people died in a landslide Friday in Papua New Guinea.

A government official has told the United Nations more than two-thousand are believed to have been buried alive -- roughly triple the U-N estimate of 670.

Only six bodies have been recovered so far.

Determining the scale of the disaster is difficult because of the remote location of the village hit by the landslide, a lack of telecommunications and tribal warfare in the area. (6)

(Wildfires-BC)(WATCH FOR DATING)

Crews will be lifting roadblocks and letting residents of Fort Nelson and the Fort Nelson First Nation return home this morning.

More than 47-hundred people were ordered out on the 10th of this month by the Parker Lake wildfire.

Conditions in the area are still extremely dry and officials will need to consider the potential for more fires as the season progresses. (6)

(US-Severe Weather)(Audio: 062)

Kentucky's governor declared a state of emergency early this morning after weekend storms swept across several U-S states, killing at least 18 people.

And the same system threatens to bring more severe weather from Alabama to near New York City today.

Seven deaths were reported in Cooke County, Texas, where a tornado plowed through a rural area near a mobile home park Saturday night.

April had the second-highest number of tornadoes on record in the U-S. (6)

(Big-Bank-Earnings)

Canada's big banks will report their second-quarter results starting tomorrow.

Scotiabank leads off the parade, followed by the National Bank of Canada and B-MO Financial Group on Wednesday.

C-I-B-C and the Royal Bank will report their results on Thursday. (6)

(AW-Pret-A-Manger)

After a two-year trial period, A&W has signed a long-term development agreement with European sandwich chain Pret A Manger.

A&W plans to introduce Pret's products starting with a national roll out of Pret coffee in its Canadian restaurants this fall.

It also plans to increase the number of locations offering Pret products across Canada over the next 10 years. (6)
