Sir Howard Bernstein tribute, Rodri interview, Gallagher feature
Today sees us pay tribute to the Club’s former Honorary President, Sir Howard Bernstein, dedicating our match to a lifelong City fan and a man who made such a significant contribution to the city of Manchester throughout his extraordinary career.
City unveiled a mosaic at the Etihad Stadium this weekend ahead of the Arsenal game in memory of Sir Howard - the mosaic taking inspiration from a memorable photo of Sir Howard selected by his family.
And that mosaic forms the basis of the front cover of the programme while there will also be content within its pages to mark the matchday for Sir Howard.
We also have a main player interview with Rodri.
Our influential midfield ace talks about his success at Euro 2024, the benefits of extra rest over the summer before returning to action with City as well as his nomination in the prestigious Ballon d’Or.
Noel Gallagher also talks in the City v Arsenal matchday programme, giving his verdict on the new Definitely City kit that was worn for the first time in the Inter Milan UEFA Champions League game.
Gallagher reveals he jumped at the chance of co-designing the new kit, which draws inspiration from debut Oasis album Definitely Maybe that was released 30 years ago.
