🚀 Simons wonder strike puts him in the Netherlands' record books
Wow. What a hit that was from Xavi Simons to put Netherlands in the lead early on against England in the EURO 2024 semi-final.
While there is still a long way to go in this tie, the PSG man has already written himself into the record books.
Xavi Simons is the youngest ever player to score in a European Championship knockout round game for the Netherlands.

Now the youngest ever to score a goal for Netherlands in the knockout rounds of a European Championship, Simons joins the likes of Lamine Yamal, Arda Güler, Kobbie Mainoo, Jamal Musiala and the rest of the cast of youngsters that have made their mark on this tournament.
The goal after just seven minutes, was also the earliest goal scored in a EURO semi final since Alan Shearer's goal for England against Germany in the 3rd minute of the 1996 knockout tie.
Another one with the brightest of futures ahead.
