Simon Binkley Commits To Alaska-Fairbanks
Vernon Vipers forward Simon Binkley has committed to Alaska-Fairbanks, it was announced Tuesday.
Binkley, who hails from Fairbanks, Alaska, is in his first full season with the Vipers, having collected one goal and eight points in 25 games so far.
Having gotten into two games with the Vipers at the end of the 2023-24 season, Binkley spent the majority of the year with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 18U. In 24 games, he scored 10 goals and added 14 assists for 24 points.
Binkley grew up playing his minor hockey in Alaska before making the move to Pittsburgh for his 16U and 18U years.
With Binkley having made the jump full-time to the BCHL this season, he has not looked out of place. A skilled player who has the ability to find players through seams, Binkley is a solid get for his hometown Nanooks.
