New signing Kolo Muani gives Motta four Juventus line-up options

France international Randal Kolo Muani will sign his Juventus contract today, giving Thiago Motta four different line-up options in the second part of the season.

Kolo Muani is undergoing Juventus medical and will complete a loan move from PSG today.

Multiple Italian sources have reported that Thiago Motta has had a key role in convincing Kolo Muani to move to Turin despite interest from other European clubs such as Manchester United and Tottenham.

On paper, Kolo Muani is a backup striker for Dusan Vlahovic, given that injury-hit Arkadiusz Milik has yet to feature for the Old Lady this season.

However, according to Gazzetta, Motta could also deploy the two strikers together, switching to a 4-4-2 or 4-3-1-2 system.

A system with two strikers may also please Vlahovic, who said in November that playing with a strike partner for Serbia was easier for him.

As reported by Tuttosport, Kolo Muani could be deployed as an attacking winger on the left and on the right, competing with Kenan Yildiz, Nico Gonzalez and Francisco Conceiçao for a starting spot.

Kolo Muani will join Juventus on loan today, but the Bianconeri are not expected to have an option to buy, meaning that the French striker will return to Paris at the end of the season.
