Sights and scenes from Penn State, Boise State during Fiesta Bowl Media Day and practices

Players and coaches from both Penn State and Boise State took part Sunday in a Fiesta Bowl Media Day before moving onto the teams’ respective practices, portions of which were briefly open to reporters.

The day started at 8:30 a.m. local time at the Arizona Ballroom in the Camelback Inn, where reporters were invited to conduct interviews. A few hours later, the Broncos practiced at Indian School Park while the Nittany Lions spent practice at Tempe Diablo Stadium. The two venues were about 15 miles from one another.

Both teams will meet on the field of State Farm Stadium at 7:30 p.m. ET Tuesday in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff. The winner will advance to the semifinals, where it will face the winner of Wednesday’s Notre Dame/Georgia matchup.
