Shrewsbury end loan deal with Arsenal's Sagoe Jr
Shrewsbury Town have ended their season-long loan arrangement with Arsenal winger Charles Sagoe Jr.
The 20-year-old Londoner has made just five league starts since arriving on loan from the Premier League club in August.
But the club have confirmed that he has now returned to the Gunners.
A club statement said: "Shrewsbury would like to thank Charles for all his hard work over the past five months."
Shrewsbury have enjoyed a little upturn in form following the arrival of Gareth Ainsworth as their new boss.
After beating promotion favourites Birmingham City in his first game, they then suffered three losses before going unbeaten over the festive season with six points from three games.
But Saturday's defeat at Leyton Orient leaves Ainsworth's side now eight points from safety.
They face a daunting double test at Oteley Road next week with home games against fourth-placed Huddersfield Town (Saturday 11 January, 15:00 GMT) and third-placed Wrexham (Thursday 16 January, 20:00 GMT).
