Sheffield United defender Connolly-Jackson signs first professional deal
Sheffield United defender Fallon Connolly-Jackson has signed her first professional contract with the club ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Championship season.
The Blades announced the news via a post on their official club website this morning.
The 18-year-old is a product of the Sheffield United academy system. The player went on to make her senior debut for the club in a 1-0 victory over Lewes at Bramall Lane in the early stages of last season. Since making her maiden Sheffield United appearance, Connolly-Jackson has been given eight further first team outings.
With former Under-21s head coach Ash Thompson now in charge of the first team, Connolly-Jackson will be hoping to be given many more outings in a Sheffield United shirt this season.
After signing her first professional terms with The Blades, Connolly-Jackson said “I think it’s an unreal feeling. It’s a big season ahead and I can’t wait to get started.
“It’s a dream come true. Since I was young, it’s all I’ve wanted to do. To finally be here, it’s hard to put into words.”
Connolly-Jackson could be part of the Sheffield United squad when the club kick-off the new season this weekend. The Blades open the 2024/2025 campaign with a fixture against Durham at Maiden Castle on Sunday.
