Shea Van Olm Commits To Penn State

Spokane Chiefs forward Shea Van Olm has committed to Penn State, it was announced earlier this week.

Van Olm, who is in his overage season in the WHL, is in his first full year with the Chiefs where he has put up 31 goals and 25 assists for 56 points in 40 games.

Drafted by the Edmonton Oil Kings in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Van Olm has played for the Chiefs, the Oil Kings and the Kamloops Blazers. Over a span of 235 career WHL regular season games, he has accumulated 71 goals and 156 points.

As one of the major offensive drivers for the Chiefs this season, Van Olm is a great get for the Nittany Lions. As someone who can find teammates through seams and get to open space to present himself as a shooting threat, Van Olm will be one to keep an eye on as he makes the jump.
