"Just some puck decisions, some reads without the puck," Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said about Liljegren. "There are some things that we want from him to improve on and be more consistent with, and we're going to challenge him to be probably better than he believes he can be."
The end of Warsofsky's quote wasn't meant to be a direct shot at Liljegren. He feels the same way about his entire roster.
"That's not just Lily. That's every defenseman, that's every forward in that locker room," Warsofsky said. "We're going to push and challenge them to be the best they possibly could be and better. We need [Liljegren] to be a really good defenseman for us to start winning some hockey games."
Liljegren has played 23 games this season, 22 with the Sharks. He has three goals and three assists and has been on a powerplay unit since he arrived in San Jose on Oct. 30.
