Sharks' Macklin Celebrini Expected To Play Against Flyers
Per a source close to THN, San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini is expected to be in the lineup against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Question marks surrounded the No. 1 pick's availability after head coach Ryan Warsofsky didn't commit to him playing during his pre-game media availability.
Warsofsky says Sharks are still deciding if Celebrini will play tonight.
I asked if Celebrini will have development days like Smith, all Warsofsky would say is "They have different plans, I'll leave it at that."— Sheng Peng (@Sheng_Peng) November 11, 2024
Fellow Sharks rookie Will Smith has sat out during back-to-back scenarios as part of his development plan, leaving some questions about Celebrini's plan. Smith sat out last night's 1-0 win over the New Jersey Devils and will play against the Flyers.
Celebrini's official status will be confirmed during pregame warmups. The teams are expected to hit the ice at 6:30 p.m. E.T.
