Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said Henry Thrun played a strong game against the Colorado Avalanche last night, and it looks like he will stay in the lineup against the Edmonton Oilers. Before last night, Thrun had been a healthy scratch for three games.

Shakir Mukhamadullin appears to be coming out of the lineup for Timothy Liljegren, who was a healthy scratch last night.

The 'Lund' line of Mikael Granlund, Fabian Zetterlund, and William Eklund is returning as Eklund, and Zetterlund's play has picked up since their recent benching. Zetterlund has three points in the last three games, including two goals, and Eklund has one goal and one assist in the previous three games.

Will Smith has slid to the fourth line. This move comes after a costly turnover that directly led to Joel Kiviranta's game-tying goal in last night's matchup.

Klim Kostin ditched the orange non-contact uniform for practice today and will likely travel with the team on its upcoming road trip. Per Curtis Pashelka, Kostin won't play against the Oilers tomorrow night but hopes to return to the lineup on Monday against the Vancouver Canucks.

After facing Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar, the San Jose Sharks get no rest as they will be forced to defend against two of the world's greatest players, Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

"It's a tough place to play, and [they are] two of the best players in the world," Warsofsky said postgame last night. "[The Oilers are a] Stanley Cup final team that's probably going to go back there again. They're well on their way to getting this thing turned around and playing some really good hockey as of late. [We are going to] be super aware with those guys on the ice."
