"Aaron brings valuable depth and leadership to our goaltending group," Barracuda GM Joe Will said in a statement. "His passion for the game remains strong, and we believe his skill, professionalism, and work ethic will benefit all of our goalies. He'll be a great asset both on and off the ice."

This is Dell's third stint with the Sharks organization. His first stint lasted from 2014 to 2020 when he left as a free agent. He returned to the organization in 22-23 and was most recently with the Ontario Reign in 23-24.

In 12 games last season, Dell had a 7-4-1 record, a .914 save %, and a 2.57 GAA.

Dell was brought to Sharks training camp on a PTO and was among the Sharks first round of roster cuts.

His PTO remained active with the San Jose Barracuda and now he has signed an official contract with the team. In the AHL, Dell will likely share the crease with Georgi Romanov, Gabriel Carriere, and Yaroslav Askarov this season.

Askarov is still out with an lower-body injury, so adding Dell to the goaltending depth is an excellent insurance piece.
