Shane Beamer offers good news on the status of LaNorris Sellers, Rocket Sanders

South Carolina coach Shane Beamer shared some very positive remarks Thursday.

Speaking on his weekly radio show, Carolina Calls, Beamer noted that quarterback LaNorris Sellers, running back Rocket Sanders and wide receiver Jared Brown — all of whom were listed as questionable during Wednesday’s availability report — will be upgraded to “probable.”

Sellers and Brown were injured during the LSU loss three weeks ago, Sellers leaving the game with an ankle sprain in the second half and Brown exiting with an undisclosed injury.

The pair, which had become an impressive duo with Brown catching seven passes for nearly 100 yards, both missed all of the Akron game.

Sanders, meanwhile, nearly missed the entire Akron game, tweaking his ankle just minutes into the Gamecocks’ blowout win.

Luckily for South Carolina, the Gamecocks’ bye week came at the perfect time — allowing that trio an extra week to recover. And their health will be crucial this week as South Carolina takes on No. 12 Ole Miss at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium.
