Yahoo Sports Sevilla close agreement with free agent goalkeeper
La Liga outfit Sevilla have this week sewed up an agreement for another summer signing.
On this occasion, the reinforcements will be forthcoming between the posts, in the form of the arrival of Álvaro Fernández.
As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto:
‘According to what Relevo has been able to find out, the Nervionense team has an agreement with Álvaro Fernández.’
26-year-old shot-stopper Fernández will make the move to The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium on a free transfer, after the expiration of his contract with Huesca.
He spent this past season out on loan, with La Liga-bound Espanyol.
The idea on the part of the Sevilla brass is now to find a new home for the out-of-favour Marko Dmitrović, before then making Fernández’s signing official.
The likes of Real Valladolid and Leganés are understood to boast an interest in Dmitrović, albeit with his considerable wages having to date made a transfer impossible to come by.
