Serie A: Milan vs Genoa – probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Milan coach Paulo Fonseca will look to youngsters Alex Jimenez and Mattia Liberali in a Serie A match against Genoa this evening, while Tammy Abraham is expected to start in attack.
It kicks off at 20:45 CET (19:45 GMT) at the Stadio Meazza in San Siro.
The Rossoneri coach Fonseca criticised the team’s attitude after a 2-1 Champions League victory midweek and will start promising left-back Jimenez in place of Theo Hernandez.
Liberali, 17, will start as an attacking midfielder, replacing the injured Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
Alessandro Florenzi, Ismael Bennacer, Yunus Musah and Luka Jovic are also unavailable.
Alvaro Morata sustained an injury in the previous match and is eligible to play but is expected to start on the bench.
Patrick Vieira will pick a 4-3-3 system for his Genoa, which is still unbeaten under his tenure.
Milan target Morten Frendrup will start in the middle of the park. Andrea Pinamonti will be the Grifone’s lone striker.
