Onyi Echegini netted a hat-trick to guide Juventus to a comfortable victory in Saturday’s Serie A meeting with Fiorentina.

Meanwhile, Roma remain 10 points clear at the top of the standings after they left it late to beat Inter. Here, we will round up all the action from both sections of the Serie A table.

Poule Scudetto

Inter 1-2 Roma

Roma required just six minutes to take the lead in Friday’s away clash with Inter. Saki Kumagai was on hand to turn the ball home after Manuela Giugliano had struck the woodwork.

Inter had to wait until the hour mark to pull themselves level against the reigning champions. Agnese Bonfantini slotted past Camelia Ceasar after being teed up by Michela Cambiaghi. Unfortunately for the hosts, their hopes of taking a point were dashed by Sanne Troelsgaard’s 89th-minute winner. The former Reading midfielder managed to beat Sara Cetinja with the help of a deflection to clinch all three points.

Juventus 4-0 Fiorentina

Juventus tightened their grip on the Serie A second spot with a commanding performance against third-placed Fiorentina. Julia Grosso sent the ball soaring into the top corner to give Juve a 10th-minute lead.

The hosts quickly doubled their advantage through Echegini. The 23-year-old guided the ball into the far corner after being played in by Lineth Beerensteyn. They combined again in the 55th minute for Echegini to net her second with the aid of a deflection. The Nigerian then swept the ball in from Lisa Boattin’s neat cut-back to complete her hat-trick and a statement victory for Juventus.

Poule Salvezza

Como 1-4 AC Milan

Chante Dompig drilled the ball home from Evelyn Ijeh’s cut-back to give Milan an early lead in Saturday’s away contest. As the half drifted towards the half hour mark, Julia Karlernäs produced an emphatic header to restore parity. After going into the break on level terms, Milan retook the lead within 10 minutes of the restart. Valery Vigilucci picked out the bottom corner with a driven long-range strike.

Emelyne Laurent went on to net a quickfire brace to lead the visitors to a comfortable victory. Milan are currently in fifth spot, while Como are five points adrift in eighth position.

Napoli 2-0 Sampdoria

Napoli boosted their survival hopes with a successful home outing against Sampdoria. After playing out a goalless first half, the hosts moved in front in the opening stages of the second period. Marija Banušić’s inswinging corner managed to find its way past the scrambling Amanda Tampieri.

Paloma Lázaro went on to double Napoli’s advantage in the 83rd minute. The 30-year-old raced into the box and rounded Tampieri to slide the ball into the awaiting net. Eli del Estal subsequently spurned the chance to add a third from the penalty spot, but it did little to dampen the home side’s mood. Although they remain in the relegation playoff position, Napoli are now four points clear of basement side Pomigliano.
