Genoa are reportedly considering bringing back their former goalkeeper Andrei Radu who finds himself surplus to requirements at Inter Milan.

The Romanian is a Nerazzurri youth product who has been struggling to find himself a permanent home, but remains on Inter’s books.

The 27-year-old spent the previous campaign on loan at Bournemouth. However, he played second fiddle to Neto so he didn’t have too many opportunities to play.

With only one year left on his contract, Inter are seeking a definitive solution.

According to Telenord via FcInterNews, Genoa could offer him the chance to play his football in Serie A next season.

The custodian already played for the Grifone between 2018 and 2020 before making his return to Appiano Gentile.

The two clubs have already done business this summer, with Josep Martinez on the verge of signing for the Nerazzurri. The Spanish goalkeeper is currently finalizing his move.

So it remains to be seen if Radu would move in the opposite direction, albeit in a separate deal.

Nevertheless, Radu isn’t the only name on Genoa’s shortlist.

The Ligurians have been trying to acquire Dominik Kotarski from PAOK. However, the Greek side isn’t willing to budge on its asking price (10 million euros).

Moreover, Mallorca’s Leo Roman has a release clause worth 12 million euros.

The Grifone are also keeping tabs on young AC Milan shot-stopper Filippo Terracciano as well as former Inter goalkeeper Stefano Turati who currently plies his trade at Frosinone.
