Serie A 2024-25: Most valuable Italy XI
The 2024-25 Serie A campaign begins tomorrow and Football Italia looks at the most expensive Italian players in the league.
A new Serie A campaign will start tomorrow, Saturday, August 17, with four matches, including Genoa–Inter and Milan–Torino.
After a disappointing EURO 2024 campaign, all eyes will be on Italian stars, and Football Italia has picked the most valuable Azzurri XI for the campaign that is about to begin.
We’ve picked a 4-4-2 system, allowing us to get at least one representative for each role. With this set-up, Inter have the most representatives (four), followed by Atalanta and Juventus (two each) and Fiorentina, Bologna, and Napoli, who have one each.
Oddly, three players won’t be seen in the opening round. Federico Chiesa has been frozen out at Juventus and is currently training separately from the first team, while Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini and Gianluca Scamacca are recovering from knee injuries.
Below is the most valuable Italy XI and the top 20 most expensive Italian players in Serie A this season, according to Transfermarkt.
