Seoane full of praise for Kleindienst
Tim Kleindienst has hit the ground running at Borussia Mönchengladbach following his summer move from Heidenheim, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 12 appearances this season.
Naturally, Gladbach coach Gerardo Seoane is pleased to have such a goal threat up front.
“He brings an element to the table that is hard to find. It's also a question of the coach's taste. I like to have a clear number 9 up front,” Seoane at the press conference after Gladbach's 0-0 draw with RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Seoane also had such a player in his squad last season in the shape of Jordan Siebatcheu.
But compared to Jordan, who has now returned to Union Berlin after his loan spell, Kleindienst has been able to score goals consistently.
"He has a good goalscoring record. That's always the most important thing for a centre-forward," said Seoane, who appreciates Kleindienst's personality as well.
“He also brings a lot to the table in terms of personality and is always a leader. On a day-to-day basis, in the dressing room and in training, he has a clear, direct approach.”
