Sens Mile opens officially to provide a home for playoff fever

The city officially opened Sens Mile on Elgin Street on Sunday, and the added bonus of the arrival of warm weather had plenty of people outdoors celebrating the team's playoff berth.

The last time the Senators were in the playoffs the city nicknamed them the "Pesky Sens."

This year, team president Cyril Leeder said the Sens have a new identity.

"Our rallying cry for this year is going to be 'Young and hungry!' And we're coming in hot."

The team's first playoff game against the Montreal Canadiens is set for Wednesday.
