The Missouri Tigers and Kansas State Wildcats ascended the rankings in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 poll ... while the Kansas Jayhawks dropped out.

The Tigers are 2-0 after shutting out their first two opponents of the season by a combined score of 89-0.

Kansas State (2-0) climbed from No. 17 to No. 14 in the latest ranking after defeating Tulane 34-27 in New Orleans on Saturday. The game was decided late on a scoop-and-score by KSU’s Jack Fabris.
