The Kansas City Royals are one step closer to making it to the World Series.

A 2-1 victory against the Orioles in Baltimore in the American League Wild Card series gave the Royals a 2-0 lead in the series meaning the Orioles are out and the Royals are advancing to play in the American League Divisional Series. They’ll be taking on the New York Yankees in a best-of-five games series starting Saturday in New York. The first series game in Kansas City will happen Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium.
