Seattle Sports Radio Host Joins Kraken Hockey Network
The Seattle Kraken have named Ian Furness and Linda Cohn as their new television broadcast team for the Kraken Hockey Network this season. Seattle viewers may recognize Furness from his 14 years at Fox 13 KCPQ where he covered the Seahawks games or from his talk radio show, "Ian Furness Show," on Sports Radio 93.3 KJR.

Furness was excited to finally announce the news on social media, posting to his Instagram account: "On a personal note, hockey has always been a passion for me and the years of riding a bus in the Canadian prairies along with my time in the AHL and IHL was well worth it! To sign a contract with a NHL team to be part of its new broadcast network, in my hometown is surreal. I can’t wait to get this thing going!'

Furness grew up surrounded by sports and journalism in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood. His father worked for several stations including KOMO News. His new venture into hockey fulfills a life long passion for the sport. Furness will broadcast a majority of the Kraken's '24-'25 schedule with select games assigned to Linda Cohn.
