Seattle Doesn't Bring Their Best, Gets Ground Up And Roasted By The Blue Jackets

Sean Kuraly(4), Luca Del Bel Belluz(1), Zach Werenski(13), Denton Mateychuk(1), Kent Johnson(11), and Kirill Marchenko(18) supplied the offense for the CBJ. Meanwhile, Elvis Merzļikins was excellent as he made 29 saves on 31 Kraken shots in a 6-2 blowout win over Seattle.

The Jackets were missing seven regulars for this game, either due to injury or illness, but that didn't stop the Blue Jackets from pounding the Kraken and scoring six goals at home yet again. The usual suspects, Zach Werenski and Kirill Marchenko both scored again.

But this time, the youngsters stepped up and helped. Denton Mateychuk had a pair of points, including his first NHL goal. The recently called-up Luca Del Bel Belluz scored a goal and had an assist, and Kent Johnson scored his 11th goal to smash the Kraken. Adam Fantilli also had a beauty of an assist on the Zach Werenski goal.

The Jackets have now won three straight games and sit 4th in the Metro at 19-17-6. Their 44 points currently have them in the wild card two spot. They're also 7-2-1 in the last 10 games and are currently the hottest team in the Metro.
